Take Me Away..

May 28, 2009

It’s been an “eh” week.  I’ve had the pleasure of hearing from MH not once but twice this week. First thing in the morning both times. First problem with the computer was a loss of half of his favorites in his Firefox browser which resulted in him wanting to restore his entire computer. I went to the gym during the restore and upon my arrival home, called him again. I then helped him learn how to use “bookmarks”.

This morning I was blessed with yet another phone call. Today was a problem with Word. He had all these documents that wouldn’t go away. What I learned about MH is that he does cause all his own problems. All these documents he wanted to get rid of were automatic recoveries of originals. Which means he isn’t saving properly. And then he would keep asking these files to reopen every time he would come back to Word.. so yeah.. DUH.. that’s why they won’t go away. After I help him get rid of all this, he then goes ahead and wipes out the original and I’m left wondering.. why did I go through all this problem of trying to save some of the info?

Last night Dave and I were not very smart when we went to bed. Instead of quietly winding down for the night and slipping into happy sleep, we started bitching about MH. He is convinced he and my mom can’t stay in CA because they can’t afford their own apartment. Um…. really? I have spent the last 7 years of my life making around 2000 something a month and could totally afford my own place and expenses PLUS a lot of debts that needed to be paid off. I’m not buying that they can’t afford a place here. He’s too snobbish. He’d rather move into a small house where he doesn’t have to pay anything because the relatives are letting them stay there for free. And he’s in a rush to get out of the current house. Um… why? Because they wanted to go ahead and short sell the house, they stopped making their payments… so what’s the rush to get out? He claims they are losing money. How is that possible when they are no longer paying their biggest expense? It’s a mess and I am trying not to think about it.

On happier news, yesterday I got us the EA Active for the Wii. I tried it out for the first time today and I liked it a lot. I found it better than the Wii Fit in that the “trainer” wasn’t so repetitive. In fact, the whole program is not repetitive. There is a 30 day challenge that I have just started today. Every day will be a new workout that focuses on different body locations. Just like a personal trainer. I’m looking forward to seeing the results.
